Four Lane PCI Express 2.0 realized by an ARTIX-7 FPGA

A customer of IC-Design built up a frame grabber card. This frame grabber card allows to connect two HDMI video sources. One of these sources might have a resolution of up to Ultra HD, the second up to Full HD.

IC-Design implemented a FPGA ARTIX-7 from XILINX for this project. This FPGA collects video data from the two HDMI sources and sends these data through a 4-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface to a host computer.

The PCI Express 2.0 interface was realized on the FPGA with the PCIe Core of XILINX.
